The world of Orioxy is a world of contrasts, where every composition tells a story. Presenting us with an imaginary creaking universe, Orioxy is a patchwork of different musical styles including jazz, music from other cultures, pop, contemporary music, electro-acoustic, film art, poetry and political news. Sweetness and intimacy mingle with wild and organic energy to create a world where extremes colide.

This project was born from the meeting of and Yael Miller Julie Campiche. Yael is an Israeli singer and composer whose varied inspirations have fused to form a new organic sound. Julie is a harpist who has succeeded in integrating her instrument into the realm of jazz.

Orioxy is also a meeting between Roland Merlinc, a melodic drummer, and Manu Hagmann, with his warm double bass and infectious groove. Resulting from their wide musical background and their attachment to the tradition of jazz, these two musicians provide a pulse and vibrant range of color to the group.

This first album, called «Tales,» takes us on a strange voyage. The first few minutes of music take the listener into the universe of pop-rock, but the journey continues and will catch your breath. From the Musical box to Ethiopian Dub, via Celtic consonances, we invite you to dive into an adventure where softness meets madness. Orioxy captures our attention by awaking this imaginary world, that untill now has remained hidden under our bed.
